Welcoming All: A Sacred and Inclusive Approach

Tapestry of Kinship and Sacred Bonds

I welcome individuals, couples, families, and every constellation of kinship—regardless of gender, sexuality, sexual or relational orientation, culture, race, or family configuration. Each person and every bond is honored as sacred and unrepeatable. Rooted in Celtic spirituality and the wisdom of anam cara, or soul-friendship, I regard each life and relationship as a living icon of the divine image (Genesis 1:27; Galatians 3:28). This means that the Light “that enlightens everyone” (John 1:9) shines uniquely through every body, story, desire, and way of loving that comes into this space.

A Hearth of Hospitality and Mystery

Drawing inspiration from the hospitality of Brigid’s hearth, the creation-embracing mysticism of the Celtic saints, and the inclusive vision found in mystical and Gnostic gospels, I seek to create a space where all who cross the threshold are received as honored guests. Here, the Divine is revealed as Light in all things and every land. This welcome extends across the full spectrum of sexuality and gender, across cultures and races, across abilities and neurotypes, and across all forms of family—blended, chosen, and biologically-related. Spiritual paths are equally honored, whether rooted in a particular faith, interspiritual, agnostic, atheist, spiritually wounded, deconstructing, or uncertain. In this space, questioning is not discouraged; rather, it is embraced as part of the sacred journey.

Communion with the Living Earth

The earth herself is held as part of our community. Your home, land, ancestors, and more-than-human kin are included in the sacred field where your life and relationships unfold. No one is asked to leave their identity at the door. All are welcome—queer, trans, nonbinary, straight, monogamous, polyamorous, aromantic/asexual, queer-platonic, mixed-faith, mixed-culture, disabled, chronically ill, and neurodivergent bodies and relationships. Each is received as a bearer of divine presence and wisdom. In the spirit of the early mystical sayings of Jesus, I trust that the Kingdom or Queendom of God is already woven into our ordinary lives, even when we have been taught not to see it.

A Practice of Deep Listening and Care

Whether companioning one person, a couple, a household, or an extended family system, I listen alongside you for how the Divine is moving in your unique story. Together, we honor grief and joy, rupture and repair, thresholds, endings, and new beginnings. We trust the Holy One—who appears at wells, at tables, on roads, and behind locked doors (John 4; Luke 24; John 20)—to be just as present in the daily rhythms of laundry, caregiving, conflict, covenant, and care.

Compassionate Boundaries and Referrals

I also recognize that every person and relationship carries complex histories and needs. In the spirit of honest love and good stewardship, if at any point I discern that I am not the right person to fully support your situation—whether because of safety concerns, therapeutic needs beyond my scope, legal or ethical considerations, or simply a mismatch of fit—I will communicate this gently and transparently. With as much care as possible, I will help guide you toward other resources, elders, clergy, or clinicians, ensuring that your journey continues to be held with the depth, skill, and tenderness it deserves.
